Welcome to Mr. Baker's Brief History of Southwest Virginia. I love the history of Southwest Virginia and have studied it off and on since I was a student here at Emory & Henry from 2002 to 2006. Through this class you will be learning key terms, people, places, and events that shaped the history of Southwest Virginia. You will also be taking part in a group project which you will present a digital artifact on Friday to your parents, classmates, and the Summer Scholars. Each day you will have a brief assignment, a set of notes to be taken covering the key terms, people, places and events, and time to work on your projects. It is important that you use your time wisely. Anytime you waste off task will be time you lose.
