Southwest Virginia History Project Outline

Imagine what it would be like to have lived in Southwest Virginia from the Pre-Clovis period until the Industrial Age. You would have seen TONS of things! Using Storyjumper, you are going to create a book of the things you witnessed as history unfolded in Southwest Virginia.

As you write your story, you will need to consider the following things

What are you doing for a living?

Are you a farmer? Soldier? Hunter? Explorer?

What do you believe about the world around you?
Get those yankee agressors! Oh my!...I'm hungry! I owe my soul to the company store!

What is going on in the world around you?
The British are invading the south! The moon?? We put a man on the Moon!?!?

What is going on around you in Southwest Virginia?

We're hunting the animals at the salt licks. My brother just went off to fight with the yankees and I'm proud!

You will also need to include the following things as you tell your story.
Dates of the historic events you are witnessing
Places where you are witnessing them
A picture of something relating to what you are describing in your story.
